Greek Notes #3- Travel

Just a few observations about travel here in Greece:

1. The driving is crazy. Beyond belief. All traffic laws are apparently optional.

2. Do NOT drive in Athens. There is no rhyme or reason to the streets and they just change names all the time. I am pretty good with directions and I was totally out of my mind trying to find our way around Athens by car. The subways, surprisingly, are very nice. The cars are clean and there are museum exhibits in some of the more tourist-y stations.

3. There are a LOT of toll roads. We didn't budget for this and it has really added up.

4. The roads are in good shape and have been easy to travel.
