From Zion, we headed south about 2 hours to the north rim of the Grand Canyon. We hike around a bit and watched the sunset. The most amazing thing about the Grand Canyon is the scope of it so the camera photos don't really convey the "grand"ness of it all.
The north rim is about 1000 feet higher in elevation than the south rim and is more forested.
It was actually chilly here.
The Grand Canyon is a mile deep, 18 miles across at it's widest and 277 miles long.
We watched a beautiful sunset.
The Grand Canyon is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and was designated a National Park in 1919.
