iPad apps for homeschooling

1. Google earth- awesome for looking up the places we are reading about. Cost: free
 2. Olive Tree bible reader- use this almost everyday. Cost: free
 3. Audio books- many books in the public domain available for your listening pleasure for free. Cost: free
 4. Evernote- using this now to try to organize my life. I just at the tip of the ice berg. Cost: free
 5. Peterson Feeder Birds- will be awesome for nature journalist! Cost: free
 6. Leafsnap- also for nature journals. Cost: free.
 7. Learn the orchestra- interactive and interesting. Cost: free.
 8. MSO learn- learn about the individual instruments of the orchestra. Cost: free.
 9. Sketch pad- kids can create cool art. Cost: @ $5.00
 10. Tintin the game- we love Tintin and this game is very well done. Cost: @ $5.00
 11. SAS flash card- I have used this to make art flash cards, bird flash cards. Large database available such as Sight words for kindergarten. Cost: free.
 12. The nutcracker- interactive storybook with accompanying music. Wonderfully done. Cost: $1.99.
 13. National geographic Geobee- great for geography. Cost: free
 14. Scramble- this is a Boggle-like word game that we all like to play.
 15. The Oregon Trail- kids love this role playing game. Cost: free
 16. Brain pop- great resource for info about almost anything. They present a free movie everyday. Cost: free. 17. London 1647- we were reading about the Great London fire and came across this map. Cost: free.
 18. Ted talks- love. Inspiring. Cost: free.
 19. Star fall- great for beginning readers. Cost: free.
 20. iBooks- books in the public domain available in text format. Cost: free
