We have started reading Chasing Vermeer by Blue Balliet. We are not very far into the plot yet but I believe it involves a stolen painting. The painting below, The Geographer, has been mentioned several times already so we had to check it out. Johannes Vermeer was a Dutch painter in the 17th Century. He specialized in indoor scenes that symbolize what was important to people at that time.
