On Wednesday morning, we drove south to the Caves of Diros. There is a route of 1300 meters through the caves which you travel by boat with a guide. Then we got out and walked through the caves for about 400 meters. This route is only a fraction of the area of the caves. It is believed that this system of caves may go back underneath the mountains all the way to Sparta and may have been used in ancient times.
