The day of driving....

On Monday night, we stayed in Porta Heli where the kids swam in the pool before bedtime. The next morning, we headed back up to Nafplio and then south along the eastern coast of the Peloponnese to Leonidias. From there we headed inland and south to Gythion. This was a little longer than a more inland route but we were having some trouble with motion sickness (up and down from hills, side to side from the curves and back and forth from the manual transmission) and we thought that this way would be flatter. It probably wasn't but being able to see the sea most of the time helped. Plus, the views were awesome. The kids were great (we have been listening to Charlotte's Web in the car) and when we got to Gytheon everyone got an ice cream.
