Adele and Simon

We have really enjoyed Adele and Simon by Barbara McClintock. The story takes place in Paris and tells of a sister and brother who are returning home after school. The little brother loses something on every page and the readers have to search the marvelous illustrations to find find the lost item. One page is drawn inside the Louvre and one is outside the Notre Dame Cathedral so you get to see the sights of Paris as you read. And of course, there is a map at the end to see the route that they took to get home. There is also Adele and Simon in America which we have requested from the library. McClintock has several other books that we have enjoyed like The Prog Frince and Our Abe Lincoln. She also has several fairy tales: Cinderella, Goldilocks and The Gingerbread Man.
