Cubscouts 2010-2011

Cubscouts

Caleb and Ethan attended Cub Scout Daycamp for the first time in the beginning of June. They had an awesome time! Some of the activities that they did were: archery, BB guns, rock climbing, fishing, cooking, science, nature, sports, geo-caching, basic orienteering and metal detecting.

We also had our first Cubscout Sunday at church. We had a Pancake breakfast and then a ceremony where all of the scouts moved up to the next rank.

Pinewood Derby

This week our Cub Scout troop had their first Pinewood Derby. Each scout makes a car out of wood and then they race against each other on an aluminum track. Each car races against every other car on each side of the track. There is an award for the fastest car and also an award for car design. Here is each kiddo with their car:
