On Friday morning, we headed into the City of David which is just south of the Old City walls. The City of David was the site of King David's capital when he conquered the Jebusites (2 Samuel 5). The Spring of Gihon runs near the city and later in history, King Hezekiah built a tunnel to bring water into the city in the event of a seige. The City also is the home of the Pool of Siloam where Jesus sent a blind man into the water to complete his healing.
