Term 1 Review 2013-2014

Pros:

  • more independence with work
  • Latin and Greek study
  • Whiteboard- much more Language Arts which is good for this season
  • much progress made in mathematics for everyone (Thank you, Lord!)
  • seasonal poetry both read and written (who doesn't want to read and write poetry in the fall?)
  • cool paintings and print making projects with Mimi
  • our Bible readings meshed nicely with our history studies helping us make connections and deepening understanding.
  • Terrific Tuesdays- cardboard creations, presidential fitness and dissections!
  • Abigail learning about volcanoes with Sister Martha

Cons:

  • we didn't have any literature that really captured our hearts this term. Boo.
  • our poet, William Blake, was harder to understand. Good for us but not quite as magical.
  • less to time to draw in Nature Journals.
  • zero Spanish for younger three.
  • more time driving in the car.
