Late last spring, a friend of ours was saying how we are so lucky to live downtown. When Ethan asked why, she said it was because we live so close to so many restaurants. Ethan reply was, "Well, we never eat at any of them!" So, I promised myself and them that we would go to a nice restaurant (one with cloth napkins) to celebrate the end of the school year. This picture is from that evening. The boys were not interested in posing.
Here the boys are playing a new fun game: Ticket to Ride. Thanks, Mr. Hern! (This was a gift for Mike's 40th birthday...)
Speaking of birthdays, Caleb turned 13!!!
He celebrated his birthday with Beebaw and Ruby. We went to see Despicable Me 2 and then had pizza at Marion's. The boys ended the evening with a night swim.
We went on an extended Twiss Family trip to Indianapolis in late July. Here is a pic of Mike and Abby Jane from the baseball game that we went to see.
Copeland got married in August. Abigail loved the dancing afterward- especially the father/daughter dance. At the reception, Copeland's dad read a list of traits that Copeland told him when he was five which described his future wife. So, Mike asked Abigail what she thought her husband would be like someday. Her answer was: nice, blue eyes, brown hair, kind, no big belly, he would wear dress shoes but not too pointy. !?
We had a really nice vacation at Mitiwanga Beach this summer in the nicest vacation home we have ever stayed in!
The only bad part of the vacation was Ethan had a skateboard accident and did some serious damage to his face including knocking out a few teeth. But he he is all fixed up now!
