Otherwise known as Dutchman's Breeches because they look like pantaloons or breeches hanging on a line to dry. This is a wildflower that we usually see at Brukner in the spring but this year we have some right out the back door. I did some research and learned that this wildflower is often spread by ants. The ants are attracted by the seed which they carry back to their nests where they are protected until they germinate.
