Caleb- he is working on a site called codeacademy. He said that it is hard- maybe too hard. But his dad suggested it after reading an article and he was super pumped to start. So, we will see. It's not like I will be able to help him. at. all. He also wants to revisit learning the guitar (we want to learn this together) and he is considering building a website for his fledgling lawn care business. Also, he just finished the last book in the Inheritance Cycle and so we are trying to finish a story that we have been co-writing for awhile. In case you didn't know, the author of the Inheritance Cycle, Christopher Paolini, was homeschooled.
Ethan- Mr. Lego has started a blog. He got a special kit for Christmas and a Lego idea book so he has been producing some really cool stuff. He built a house today that impressed his architect dad quite a bit. He will post pictures soon. Ethan also is interested in taking videos so we have a friend from church who has a talent in this area coming over for dinner sometime soon- hopefully.
Adam- he has been working on a book about dinosaurs for awhile so we are trying to finish that up. We are also starting on his cookbook. We want to make all of his favorite things into a cookbook- he will help prepare them and publish. Also, as the resident ornithologist, we hope to get out to do some bird watching soon and also do some painting.
Abby Jane- she got a sewing kit for Christmas so she has been busy working on little projects with her Mimi. Her attention span in the department in astounding! Well, it is anyway. I feel like I could read books to her all day long and she would never, ever get tired of listening. I feel a little panicky about this- like she will never be satiated. That's the introvert in me.... Anyway, between sewing, reading and she just started piano this week so that wraps it up for her.
Also, I want to implement Everyday Learning Links to extend learning. These are links that they can check each day such as word of the day, current events, quote of the day, etc.... We will hopefully be adding the Everyday Learning Link to all of our blogs.
