Yesterday, we went to the DAI to see the Norman Rockwell Exhibit. We have been to special exhibits before and this is a great one for children because Rockwell used his art to tell stories that kids can relate to and understand. We also eavesdropped on a docent guided tour and learned that Rockwell used red in almost every painting as an accent color.
We weren't allowed to take photographs in the exhibit so this is right before.
Mimi took the photo; also included is mt niece, Annabelle.
The kids grabbed props and set up their own Rockwell-esque portraits.
We also visited the Experience Center. Those are all plastic bottle lids!
Adam is proud of his structure that he built.

When you are up close, you can see that the globs of paint are actually 3D and stick out from his palette.
