Waxing Leaves

A fun project to make natural decorations for your Thanksgiving table.

We collected leaves outside.

I melted parafin in an aluminum pie plate along with some water. This was sitting inside a skillet of boiling water. We then dipped the leaves in the melted wax, let them cool on foil- wax paper would work better for this but I didn't have any. The leaves are gorgeously preserved for Thanksgiving- natural works of art!
