Handicraft: Soap Carving

It turns out that one of the homeschooling families in our church has developed the hobby of wood carving. We have talked as a group about having the kids doing handicraft projects so we took the plunge and started with soap carving. The mother of this family did a great job with examples, appropriate tools, supplies and helpful tips and advice. What was so great about this was that it was a natural sharing of something that they already love to do so she didn't have to drum up enthusiasm and umph for this project- it was already there.
