The boys have been really interested in comics lately and their favorites are Tintin by Belgian artist Herge and Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson. Tintin is a Belgian reporter and he made his first debut in 1929. He is aided in his adventures by his faithful dog, Snowy. Tintin's adventures (which are usually mysteries) take him on many adventures all over the world and eventually even the moon! Of course, Calvin is an ordinary, though ornery, six year old who gets into lots of trouble with his pet tiger, Hobbes.
Our library system has a great deal of Calvin and Hobbes and not much Tintin but we may be ordering more for birthday presents as Ethan is the biggest comic fan around here and his birthday is coming up!
I am wondering if any of our friends have any suggestions in the comic department?
